Shrewsbury Castle & The Wroxeter Wedding – Kate & Alistair

Feb 11, 2017

This beautiful and intimate wedding was a bit of a last minute kind of thing and it was such a wonderful celebration to photograph. Despite being together for years and having a handsome son they had never gotten around to tying the knot until now (well, technically July 2016).

With a handful of their closest friends and family, they chose Shrewsbury Castle for their ceremony followed by afternoon tea at The Wroxeter Hotel a short drive away.

I loved how cool, calm and stylish Kate was, totally brilliant company, I adored how her brother accompanied her down the aisle, much to everyone’s surprise (including his!)

Rather than have a first dance, these guys opted for a casino and caricaturist to entertain their guests which went down a storm.

Much love to this pair – I loved this wedding!

When I’m not shooting people in love you can find me at home, probably drinking too much coffee, eating cake and watching a film. My husband and I hold a lot of our conversations in film quotes. We’re kind of film geeks. After ten years of photographing almost 200 couples who love the bones of each other, I’m still in love with weddings and I would love to hear more about yours.
