For today’s blog post I’m going back to the Mytton & Mermaid, Shrewsbury for this beautiful late summer wedding of Sarah and Rob. It’s no secret that it’s one of my favourite venues and these guys chose it as it’s local to where they live but neutral for their families as none of them are from the area, plus it serves great food, has a lovely laid back atmosphere and a stunning setting.

Sarah and Rob had actually been in the same circle of friends for years but it wasn’t until Sarah’s best friend Victoria and Rob’s best friend Jon were planning their own wedding that things moved forward. Sarah was a bridesmaid and Rob was best man so Sarah made an excuse to email Rob for questions for a Mr and Mrs game, it wasn’t long before Rob asked her out…. and the rest is history!

Rob surprised Sarah with a proposal in Iceland under the Northern Lights and she had no idea it was going to happen at all and when I asked them what they were most looking forward to, they said “we’re both just looking forward to being married! We both liked having a long engagement, as it’s made the planning easier. But we’re both just excited to start the rest of our life together!”
