Autumn weddings will always be super special to me as my own wedding was an outdoors October affair surrounded by the gorgeous Autumn colours, the cool crisp air and a cosy fire to snuggle up by later on.
Emily and Jack chose Moddershall Oaks near Stone, Staffordshire for their wedding day as they fell in love with the idea of an outdoor ceremony by a lake surrounded by woodland plus the bonus of the venue having an on site spa. They met on a night out, introduced to each other through Jack’s sister and began planning their wedding after being together 4 years. Jack proposed to Emily on a walk. Not just any walk; a walk on Halloween night up the Wrekin. Now, Emily hates walking, especially hill walking, but really loves the view from the top of the Wrekin, and at night when all the lights can be seen for miles around it really is something very beautiful. So after a mammoth hike up the hill, Jack got down on one knee and asked Emily to be his wife.
I was honoured to photograph this fabulous wedding of two very special people and I can’t thank Emily and Jack enough for allowing me to capture their wonderful day. Here’s a few of my favourites, enjoy!
