I’ve been shooting weddings for ten years now and I suppose there comes a time where very few places really blow me away. Please don’t get me wrong; I have plenty of favourite venues around Shropshire but it’s been a while since I’ve been truly surprised by anywhere. When I first arrived at Hawkstone Hall, I was almost speechless with my jaw on the floor as the place was so stunning. Not just nice, not just pleasant, but really, really stunning.

And then you couple that with Sarah and Laurie who are basically two of the most genuinely wonderful people I have ever met and you have this awesome wedding extravaganza. As soon as I met them it felt like we’d been friends for years as they are so welcoming and lovely. This wedding was incredible; out of this world venue, great weather, wonderful suppliers and a whole host of other things that went ‘right’ but above all, it was all so amazing because of the people. Not just Sarah and Laurie but their families and their friends. Weddings are always great but when you get let ‘in’, they become something else.
