Hadley Park House Wedding – Emma & Liam

May 5, 2019

Emma and Liam had been together ten years by the time of their wedding, and they had met growing up when their moms worked together. Liam proposed when the couple were on holiday; they visited The Rock of Gibraltar and, surrounded by monkeys, Liam popped the question. They chose Hadley Park House in Telford for their reception venue but it’s the church they loved the most; St George’s was the church where they were both christened, Liam’s parents were married there and Emma’s grandfather and god mother are buried there so it’s long been a special place to them.

My day started with Liam and the guests at the local pub, just over the road from the church before getting in position for Emma’s arrival. After a lovely and, often, very funny ceremony, it was onto Hadley Park House for their reception. Emma chose lots of greys, silvers and muted tones for her decorations, perfectly complimenting Hadley’s conservatory. Emma’s dad brought out the props for his speech including Emma’s childhood fancy dress outfits and favourite toys. As the weather stayed dry, I headed out for a few more portraits of Emma and Liam, only to be joined by the Emma’s BFFs who most definitely wanted in on the portrait session!

It was an absolute pleasure to be a part of Emma and Liam’s wedding day, here’s a few of my faves…

When I’m not shooting people in love you can find me at home, probably drinking too much coffee, eating cake and watching a film. My husband and I hold a lot of our conversations in film quotes. We’re kind of film geeks. After ten years of photographing almost 200 couples who love the bones of each other, I’m still in love with weddings and I would love to hear more about yours.
