Seeing as we’re facing the ‘Beast from the East’ and dealing with sub zero temperatures and snow even though it’s March, I thought now might be the time to blog Vicki & Will’s December wedding.
So here’s the back-story: Friday 8th December in Shropshire, it snowed. It snowed like it was the 80’s, proper snow. All day, non stop, big ole snow. Like the most snow we’d seen in about 15 years. I woke up on the 9th December, the day of the wedding, to a scene from Narnia and soon realised that my car would need to be dug out to even get into it. After an hour of digging, I set off and enjoyed one of the loveliest weddings ever…
Vicki and Will made an enquiry with me via email and that same week I met Vicki’s mom at a wedding fair as she was on reconnaissance for wedding suppliers. They had chosen the Church of St Nicholas in Newport, Vicki’s childhood hometown, and planned a reception at one of my favourite venues, Goldstone Hall Hotel, Hinstock. Goldstone looks spectacular all year round but in the winter wonderland type snow, it was something else.
Massive thanks to Vicki and Will for braving the arctic temperatures for their portraits! Shout out to Lisa Dams from Blue Fox Photo for second shooting on my last wedding of 2017 too :)
Here’s just a few of my favourites…
