From the moment Lisa & James told me about their plans I knew I wanted to shoot this wedding. They were planning on having a ceremony and reception at the quirky industrial space that is Enginuity and Coalbrookdale museum in Ironbridge.
Surprises were the order of the day and first up Lisa had arranged for a 1980’s Ferrari to be James’ transport from his parents home to the venue. He had absolutely no idea thanks to everyone around him keeping it a secret.
Lisa’s dad is unfortunately in poor health and unable to make the ceremony so her mother walked her down the aisle. Cue the tears. Following the ceremony we detoured to her father’s house so he could see his daughter on her wedding day. The morning rain subsided so heading outside for photos in the afternoon was a pleasure walking around the grounds of the museum. Added bonus of the bride & groom being serenaded to a storming rendition of “I don’t want to miss a thing” by Aerosmith this time sung by the groomsmen.
The surprises continued into the evening and James got his own back by booking Britain’s Got Talent Finalist Julian Smith to perform for their first dance. So many happy tears!
Much love and congratulations to Mr & Mrs Webb! x
