Shropshire Village Hall Wedding – Becky & Mark

Aug 5, 2019

Becky & Mark were planning a relaxed Summer wedding in the English countryside with a ceremony at a church in the beautiful village on Onibury with a reception at Norbury Village Hall. They got in touch and booked me as they loved my natural and relaxed approach to wedding photography.

The morning prep started out at a farmhouse just over the road from the church, where Becky, her bridesmaids and her parents were getting ready whilst Mark, his groomsmen and several guests were just down the road at the local pub. As everything was so close together it was easy to walk in between the locations to get plenty of coverage of the morning’s goings on. Following the lovely ceremony, everyone got to enjoy ice cream in the sunshine before heading to the village hall, a short drive away.

The weather was glorious so all the guests could enjoy canapes, beers and live music outside on the huge terrace. Norbury Village Hall in deep within the Shropshire countryside with nothing but rolling hills all around, what a stunning location! The couple decorated the interior with fresh flowers, mason jars, bunting and old photographs. The wedding cake was made by Becky’s nan – how amazing!

Before everyone went inside for speeches, Becky & Mark took a few moments to have some casual portraits, and of course their dog came too!

I had a great time at this wedding, here’s a few of my favourites…

When I’m not shooting people in love you can find me at home, probably drinking too much coffee, eating cake and watching a film. My husband and I hold a lot of our conversations in film quotes. We’re kind of film geeks. After ten years of photographing almost 200 couples who love the bones of each other, I’m still in love with weddings and I would love to hear more about yours.
