Old Vicarage Wedding – Rebecca & Jake

Nov 9, 2017

Earlier this year I began offering hourly rates for weddings hoping to give clients a bit more flexibility. Some couples just aren’t into the idea of a big wedding or the need for a wedding photographer and Jake and Rebecca were exactly this; they were heading straight to New York the day after their small midweek wedding and felt that it would be unnecessary, but then step in the parents! They paid for me to be there for just three hours but I think you’ll see from this small selection just how much can be captured in a short amount of time. Arriving just as the bridal prep is finishing and staying until the guests took their seats for the meal, three hours was perfect for this beautiful wedding.

Rebecca and Jake met in the gym and bonded over the mutual love of fitness, travel and dogs. Being passionate vegans, they chose a vegan menu for their guests to enjoy as well as Rebecca making their very own wedding cake.

This was my first time at The Old Vicarage on the outskirts of Bridgnorth and it’s such a gorgeous venue, helped by the May sunshine, the setting in the middle of the countryside is something that really sets this place apart. I can’t wait to get back here again.

When I’m not shooting people in love you can find me at home, probably drinking too much coffee, eating cake and watching a film. My husband and I hold a lot of our conversations in film quotes. We’re kind of film geeks. After ten years of photographing almost 200 couples who love the bones of each other, I’m still in love with weddings and I would love to hear more about yours.
