Mytton & Mermaid Wedding – Sue & Craig

Jun 30, 2016

I alway jump at the chance to shoot a wedding at The Mytton & Mermaid in Atcham nr Shrewsbury and this gorgeous Spring wedding was no exception. I love coming back to this venue as it’s beautiful, the team are fantastic and there are no end to places to shoot beautiful images. Plus I got to see the fabulous make up artist Natalie Ravenscroft in action again!

Sue and Craig are one of those couples who upon meeting for the first time I felt like I’d known them forever. It was beautiful to watch Sue open her surprise diamond earrings from Craig on the morning of the wedding. Seeing her be accompanied down the aisle by her father was worthy of happy tears. There was heaps of laughter too as Craig referred to his awful wedding wife and even more laughter as his sons toasted (or should that be roasted!) him during their speeches. Add to the mix all of the gorgeous bright pinks, spring greens, suits by Ted Baker, Sue’s swoon worthy dress & veil and here’s what you get…

When I’m not shooting people in love you can find me at home, probably drinking too much coffee, eating cake and watching a film. My husband and I hold a lot of our conversations in film quotes. We’re kind of film geeks. After ten years of photographing almost 200 couples who love the bones of each other, I’m still in love with weddings and I would love to hear more about yours.
