Albrighton Hall Wedding – Emma & Mark

Feb 14, 2019

It’s Valentine’s Day! So I’m showing off this gorgeous, romantic wedding of Emma and Mark. They chose St Luke’s Church in Hodnet and the stunning Shrewsbury based wedding venue, Albrighton Hall, for their May wedding day.

This was the start of the Great Heatwave of 2018 too – the day might have started a bit overcast but by the late afternoon, it was a sunny belter!

They chose Albrighton Hall as it’s modern and picturesque with beautiful grounds; plenty of places for photo opportunities. The venue is a beautiful 18th century manor house set in 15 acres of grounds with an ornamental lake. It’s gorgeous!

I had Alice Webb accompany me for second shooting duties starting out with the guys at home and then getting to the church to capture guests arriving. Emma and her girls took over a hotel room at Albrighton for the bridal prep – her make up artist was also one of her bridesmaids (it’s all about who you know!)

The vicar at St Luke’s is one of my faves – she’s fantastic and puts everyone at ease! After the ceremony there was plenty of time for hugs, handshakes, and confetti before heading to Albrighton for drinks and canapes and a few informal portraits around the grounds.

The venue had been styled by some of my favourite Shropshire wedding suppliers; Simply Beautiful Occasions and Julie Nicholas Flowers.

After the speeches (which were totally hilarious) and the meal it was onto the dancing – a choreographed routine to Bryan Adams ‘Here I Am’ complete with a Dirty Dancing inspired lift!

Here’s just a few of my favourites from the day, Happy Valentine’s Day x

When I’m not shooting people in love you can find me at home, probably drinking too much coffee, eating cake and watching a film. My husband and I hold a lot of our conversations in film quotes. We’re kind of film geeks. After ten years of photographing almost 200 couples who love the bones of each other, I’m still in love with weddings and I would love to hear more about yours.
