Delbury Hall Wedding – Emma & Martin

May 20, 2019

I first met Emma and Martin at a wedding fair at The Park House Hotel in Shifnal following their engagement, and we hit it off straight away. Sometimes you just get a really good feeling about people.

They were planning a Spring wedding at the stunning Delbury Hall near Ludlow, and had everything crossed for an outdoor ceremony. The weather gods came good when the big day arrived and the sun shone all day! Allowing not only an outdoor ceremony but also gave us plenty of time for photos and the guests could enjoy drinks in the courtyard.

Delbury Hall is a Georgian country house situated within 80 acres of landscaped parkland and water meadows in between the Clee Hills and Wenlock Edge. It offers a 17th century dovecote, coach house, ornamental lake and courtyard with the option of having both indoor and outdoor wedding ceremonies.

This wedding also had me team up with some of my absolute favourite Shropshire suppliers like Heavenly Brides & Belles wedding dress shop, Natalie Ravenscroft MUA, Topsy Turvy Cakes and Perfectly Unique venue dressing. I also got to see the wonderful floral creations of Big Little Things for the first time and, OMG, Emma’s bridal bouquet of peonies is a one of a kind!

One of my favourite memories of this day was the speeches – Martin’s best man flew in all the way from New Zealand to be with them and his speech included a Mr & Mrs game and a brilliant round of ‘how well do you know the groom’. Just fantastic!

I loved being a part of this wedding and have put together a selection of my favourite images below, enjoy!

When I’m not shooting people in love you can find me at home, probably drinking too much coffee, eating cake and watching a film. My husband and I hold a lot of our conversations in film quotes. We’re kind of film geeks. After ten years of photographing almost 200 couples who love the bones of each other, I’m still in love with weddings and I would love to hear more about yours.
