2019

Jan 2, 2020

On New Year’s Eve 2019, I shot not just my very last wedding of the year, but, the very last wedding of the decade. Ten years of weddings, ten years of amazing couples who allow me to do this for a job. It’s incredible. At the end of 2009 I was engaged, working a job I hated, had dropped out of uni as a mature student and photography was still this sort of hobby that very rarely paid a tiny amount of money. The idea of running an actual photography business was a fantasy.

Thank you for making this a reality. It is better than I ever could of imagined.

They’ll be a lot of round up posts from wedding photographers going up over the next couple of weeks, so here’s mine, my favourites of the year.

Here’s to 2020 and beyond, I can’t wait to see what the next decade has in store.

When I’m not shooting people in love you can find me at home, probably drinking too much coffee, eating cake and watching a film. My husband and I hold a lot of our conversations in film quotes. We’re kind of film geeks. After ten years of photographing almost 200 couples who love the bones of each other, I’m still in love with weddings and I would love to hear more about yours.
