Mytton & Mermaid Wedding – Amanda & Matt

Feb 1, 2018

Amanda and Matt chose one of my favourite venues in Shropshire to get married – The Mytton & Mermaid. It’s a really beautiful and quirky hotel in Atcham on the outskirts of Shrewsbury and it provides an informal and relaxed setting. They chose the courtyard for their ceremony; a light airy space that is covered by a glass roof so should the weather take a turn, it’s no problem.

Surrounded by just a few friends and family including their daughters, they said ‘I do’. The ceremony was beautiful and emotional and afterwards Amanda surprised Matt with personalised pillow cases.

Their laid back and relaxed wedding day included a gorgeous meal in the venue’s Stable Suite followed by more drinks in the courtyard with amazing magician Chris Peskett. I love the details of this wedding day – flowers by Shrewsbury’s Julie Nicholas and a stunning golden cake – seriously, have a look at it as it’s superb!

Here’s just a few of my faves…

When I’m not shooting people in love you can find me at home, probably drinking too much coffee, eating cake and watching a film. My husband and I hold a lot of our conversations in film quotes. We’re kind of film geeks. After ten years of photographing almost 200 couples who love the bones of each other, I’m still in love with weddings and I would love to hear more about yours.
