Mytton & Mermaid Wedding – Natalie & Ricky

Dec 3, 2017

Sometimes weddings have an obvious identifier that makes them stand out; sometimes it’s a colour scheme or a particular theme. Natalie and Ricky’s identifier? GIN! And lots of it. From the tables named after their favourite gins, to the never ending gin cocktails and the custom gin bar. Also, peacocks, check out the cake and the bouquet – it is hands down the most spectacular handmade non floral number I’ve ever seen. Oh and cool music including the Labyrinth soundtrack – Natalie made her entrance to the ceremony to a version of David Bowie’s “As the world falls down” and they had their first dance to Birdy’s “Wings”.

“Oh lights go down, in the moment we’re lost and found, I just want to be by your side, if these could fly, for the rest of my life.”

When I’m not shooting people in love you can find me at home, probably drinking too much coffee, eating cake and watching a film. My husband and I hold a lot of our conversations in film quotes. We’re kind of film geeks. After ten years of photographing almost 200 couples who love the bones of each other, I’m still in love with weddings and I would love to hear more about yours.
