2016 Favourites

Dec 30, 2016

So here’s a collection of my favourite images from the epic 2016 wedding season. I always find these end of year round up posts difficult to put together but this year in particular has been a toughie. All of the couples have been amazing, the venues outstanding, and even though June was pretty much a wash out, every single wedding has knocked my socks off.

I’ve been blown away by all of it.

So here’s to 2016 and all the glorious wedding lovliness it contained; the happy tears, the ear to ear grins, the belly laughs, the choreographed first dances, the wall of cake, the rain soaked sunsets, the confetti canons, the crazy vicar, the head in hands from embarrassing speech moments, the hands, the glances, the love.

Above all else, the love.

When I’m not shooting people in love you can find me at home, probably drinking too much coffee, eating cake and watching a film. My husband and I hold a lot of our conversations in film quotes. We’re kind of film geeks. After ten years of photographing almost 200 couples who love the bones of each other, I’m still in love with weddings and I would love to hear more about yours.

I live all the close ups of the hands. Plus the dancing vicar. Lovely work.

So many tender moments, you should be really proud of yourself. I love the bride with the confetti cone, and the bride’s mothers knees..simple yet so poetic. I love them.
